Where is Wadi Rum located?
Wadi Rum is a protected desert valley in southern Jordan, about 1 hour from Aqaba and 4 hours from Amman. It's famous for its red sand dunes, towering rock formations, and ancient Bedouin culture.
How I get to Wadi Rum?
From Aqaba
Aqaba is the closest city to Wadi Rum, just 1 hour away (around 65 km). The road winds through scenic red-sand landscapes.
Local Bus: Local minibuses typically depart around 12:00 PM, except on Fridays.
JETT Bus: Leaves Aqaba in the morning around 8:00 AM and stops at the Wadi Rum Visitor Center.
Taxi: Private taxis are also available and can be arranged through us.
From Petra
Wadi Rum is about 100 km from Petra, and the drive takes roughly 1.5 hours. You can take either the Desert Highway or the King’s Highway — both routes offer stunning scenery and dramatic desert landscapes.
Public Bus: A single daily bus departs Petra around 6:30 AM, arriving at the Wadi Rum Visitor Center. Seats are limited, so we recommend booking in advance.
From Amman
Traveling from Jordan’s capital, Amman, takes approximately 4 hours by car, covering about 320 km via the Desert Highway. The route offers a mix of desert views and mountain terrain.
JETT Bus: You can take a JETT bus to Aqaba, then connect to Wadi Rum by taxi or local transport. Let us know if you'd like help arranging transfers.

Wadi Rum is a year-round destination, with each season offering its own unique charm.
Spring & Autumn
The most popular months are March–April and October–November, when temperatures are mild and perfect for exploring. These seasons offer clear skies, comfortable days, and cooler evenings — ideal for hiking, camel rides, and overnight desert stays.
Winter (December – February)
While daytime temperatures are cooler, Wadi Rum still holds its magic. You might witness snow-capped mountains and dramatic cloudscapes thanks to strong winter winds. Nights can get cold, so warm clothing is recommended.
Summer (May – September)
Summer brings long, sunny days and almost no rainfall — perfect for clear desert views and star-filled skies. However, temperatures can soar above 40°C (104°F), especially midday. Early morning or sunset tours are recommended during this time.

Is The Tour Suitable For Children Or Elderly Guests?
Yes, we tailor our tours to suit your needs. Families, older guests, and solo travelers are all welcome! Just let us know any concerns ahead of time.
Meeting Point
We offer pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation. Alternatively, We can meet you at the start of your tour in Wadi Rum Village, the gateway to the desert. The village has a few small shops where you can pick up snacks or supplies before heading into the wilderness.
Parking In Wadi Rum
We offer free parking at our home in Wadi Rum Village. Parking is also easy to find throughout the village, so you can safely leave your car before your tour begins. Once you arrive, we’ll take care of the rest.
Important: Bring Cash
Please note that there are no ATMs in Wadi Rum, and payments are made in cash (Jordanian Dinar). The closest cash machines are located in Aqaba, so we recommend withdrawing money before arriving in the village.
