HIKING TOURS
Venture beyond the beaten path and explore Wadi Rum’s wild beauty on foot — where towering cliffs, hidden canyons, and total silence await. A dreamlike environment that feels both ancient and alive.
Our hiking tours are designed to take you off the tourist trail, into less-traveled parts of the desert where you can experience true solitude. These areas are quiet, remote, and deeply peaceful — ideal for reflection, photography, or simply connecting with nature.
Option 1– Burdah Rock Bridge Hike
This hike offers a perfect blend of exploration, movement, and stunning views. Taking around 3 hours, it’s great for those who enjoy a bit of a challenge — involving light scrambling, climbing with your hands in places, and walking through narrow desert canyons and open rock passages. You don’t need to be an expert climber, but a moderate fitness level and a sense of adventure are helpful.
As you make your way up, you'll pass through quiet corners of the desert, with panoramic views growing more breathtaking with every step. The trail is varied and exciting, with stretches of walking broken up by short climbs over smooth sandstone.
At the top, your effort is rewarded with the sight of the famous Burdah Rock Bridge — a massive natural arch standing proudly above the landscape. From here, you’ll have incredible 360° views: to the west and north, you'll gaze over the heart of the Wadi Rum protected area, while to the east, the open desert stretches into the horizon.
The hike is always led by one of our experienced Bedouin guides, who will support you every step of the way — making it accessible even for those new to hiking in this type of terrain.

A full-day desert journey with adventure, scenery, and stargazing.
We begin around 9:30 AM, leaving Wadi Rum Village and starting the day with visits to Lawrence’s Spring, the sand dunes, Khazali Canyon, and the Small Rock Arch. These early stops offer a warm-up to the landscape and a glimpse of Wadi Rum’s natural beauty.
Next, we head toward the Burdah region, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch in the shade, surrounded by desert views. After lunch, we begin the main adventure — a guided climb up Burdah Mountain to reach the iconic natural rock arch at its summit. This hike includes light scrambling and rewards you with breathtaking views over the desert.
After descending, we continue by Jeep to visit Umm Fruth Rock Bridge and take a walk through Abu Khashaba Canyon, a peaceful sandy passage where we’ll meet you on the other side. Finally, we’ll head to a sunset viewpoint to end the day with golden skies over the dunes.
If you choose to spend the night, we’ll take you to our Bedouin camp, where a traditional dinner awaits. Relax by the fire, sip tea, share stories, and enjoy the silence and stars above. The next morning, after a fresh breakfast buffet, we’ll bring you back to the village.
-
Double the adventure — deeper into the desert, with time to slow down and explore more.
The first day follows the same path as the 1-day tour, with visits to the most iconic sights and the climb to Burdah Rock Bridge, followed by an evening at our peaceful desert camp.
On Day 2, we continue exploring by Jeep — heading first to Mushroom Rock, then through the scenic White Canyon, Burrah Canyon, and the dramatic landscape around Umm Ishrin. These stops include short walks, photo opportunities, and quiet moments in nature.
We’ll find a comfortable place to enjoy lunch and a rest, then visit the Anfishiyeh inscriptions, carved by ancient desert travelers. We finish the journey with a visit to the big sand dunes, where you can relax or climb one last time.
By mid-afternoon (around 3:00 PM), you can choose to either return to the village or spend another night at camp to extend your time under the stars.

Option 2– Al Hash Hike
This beautiful hike is one of Wadi Rum’s most rewarding and accessible adventures — perfect for anyone who enjoys light climbing, walking, and taking in breathtaking desert views. The entire journey takes around 2 to 3 hours, and no prior hiking experience is required. It’s suitable for beginners, families, and anyone with a moderate fitness level.
The trail begins with a short Jeep ride through the southern part of the protected area, passing rugged hills and scenic valleys along the way. You’ll start your walk by climbing a few natural steps before continuing on a gentle path that leads slightly uphill. The trail winds through soft sand, rock formations, and narrow canyons, offering incredible views from the very beginning.
As you ascend, the landscape opens up — with views to your left side, over the famous Sabat Valley, and further across the white desert. With a mix of coloured mountain ranges, the scenery is truly unforgettable. You'll even be able to spot Jebel Um Adami, Jordan’s highest peak, in the distance.

Option 3– Um Addami Hike
A rewarding desert summit with panoramic views across Jordan and beyond.
This hike takes approximately 3 to 4 hours in total and is led by an experienced Bedouin guide who ensures a safe and memorable journey through one of Wadi Rum’s most remote and scenic regions.
Although Jebel Um Adami is the highest mountain in Jordan at 1,854 meters, the route is surprisingly manageable and doesn’t require technical climbing experience. The first part of the trail includes light scrambling, where you may use your hands to climb over some easy rock sections. After that, the path opens into a steady uphill walk, giving way to wide desert views.
Before the hike begins, you'll enjoy a Jeep ride through the southern White Desert, passing striking features such as Nughara Canyon along the way. The landscape here is quieter and wilder, with fewer visitors and more untouched terrain.
Reaching the summit is a highlight in every sense. You’ll be rewarded with 360° views — to the south, the desert stretches into Saudi Arabia, while to the north, you’ll spot Jabal Rum, the second-highest peak, and the rolling expanse of the White Desert. The contrasting colors of sand, stone, and mountain ridges shift with the light, creating a landscape that feels both vast and intimate.
This is an ideal hike for travelers looking to combine a sense of achievement with peaceful desert beauty, all in the company of those who know the land best.
